Kari and I intend to retire to Sweden as
soon as we can sell our huse in Northern
Ireland. Everyone asks “Why Sweden ?”.
Everyone remembers how expensive it
used to be way back in the 60’s and 70’s
when Sweden was one of the first welfare
States in the World. Well, funnily enough
it is now one of the most affordable
countries to live in in Europe. As a British
friend of mine once said (who has also
bought a house in Sweden):”It’s the best
kept secret.....Houses are for
nothing.”...when you compare theSwedish
properyty market to the British property
market.
We bought our first house about 4-5 years
ago and a lot of the pictures shown above
are from that area. Although some of them
are from Mariestad and Kungsbacka. This
is a country with lakes and
forests,sunsets and views as far as the
eys can see. This is a huge country the
size of France but with 1/10 th of it’s
population.
